Hope you're all having a good day and a great week. Unfortunately today's review won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm honest in my reviews so I'll continue to do so. I'll keep it short and sweet as there really isn't too much to say about it.
I went to see Fantastic Four yesterday, and well I wasn't impressed. Simply put, the best thing about it was the special effects, not much else.
To begin with I wasn't too fussed about seeing it anyway but I went with my best friend and he wanted to see it so we did. I'd heard it had a lot of mixed reviews, however the majority of them being negative. Sadly, this will be too.
Just where do I start. Right from the beginning it felt like it was taking a while to actually get into a decent story and for something interesting and worth watching to happen. This seemed to be the case throughout most of the film. The acting and the script just seemed to be a a bit of a flop to be honest. I mean the whole big thing about 'we need a name!', just felt so unnecessary and although some may think 'oh its needed as that's how the film gets its name' yes well done, that much is obvious, but the scripting mixed with the least enthusiastic acting, made for a poor scene.
As I didn't think I'd find myself watching this film anyway, I didn't have high hopes for it and I'm glad I didn't expect much. I normally love Marvel films with Thor and Captain America being two favourites. I'm not really one for the comics to be honest but have seen a lot of the films. Fantastic Four will not be one I'll be watching again or recommending.
