Once Upon a Time

 Hello my lovelies,

Well I've done it again, got myself hooked into another television series. This one is called Once Upon a Time.

Once Upon a Time is an American fairytale drama set in the fictional town of Storybrooke. Those who live here are actually characters from various fairy tales but have been sent into the 'real world' by the evil queen after she cursed everyone, which meant they no longer remembered who they were but instead played the parts of everyday people in a town that is very special.

It may sound silly to say it, but Once Upon a Time just seems so magical (not just because of the magic included within the story), I love watching the characters in the real world and seeing flashbacks of who they actually are from the fairy tales. There are times when you can even figure out who is meant to be who before seeing flashbacks into their past, like Pinocchio for example. So much happens and it can really suck you in as you wait to see if the curse gets broken returning the forgotten memories or not. Obviously each character has their own story as to who they were in the past and who the curse has made them become, but the overall plot line is that the curse needs to be broken to allow people to remember, but it takes a lot of believing in magic and hope that the curse will be broken, and the evil queen beaten.

I've just finished the first series and I'm looking forward to what comes next as I continue watching. Its almost as if it could be another Disney story, just with a larger cast of main characters. Its such a lovely programme to watch and just reminds me that it doesn't matter what age you are, you can still enjoy things about princes, princesses and magic, and yes I know that sounds childish but everyone has something they love, and for some its Disney and fairy tales. The stories are really mixed and includes so much like broken family issues, relationship breakdowns, and people being set up for crimes they didn't commit. It almost has something for everyone but it can take a bit of getting into and used to before you can really enjoy each characters back story.

I think it has become a new favourite, and would recommend it to anyone that loves stories like this and fairy tales. I love watching it to relax but it always makes you look forward to what is going to be discovered next and how the plan to break the curse goes.

If you've seen the first episode and you're not too sure about it just watch another couple, it might just get you hooked.
